'Darling You're Standing In It",The show was a culmination of a four week creative writing workshop project with the multicultural writers association of Queensland organised by BEMAC. helen enrolled as helen demidenko. i was known in australia as an ethnic poet, i suppose, in an australia that saw ethnic as not english, irish, scottish or welsh. i was at least an ethnic who had been recognised as an australian poet. i conducted the workshops, which contained greek, polish, asian, indian, middle eastern and anglo australian participants and one ukrainian. helen was a very good student. she learnt how to write from an ethnic perspective, and how to write effective performance poetry. this video was filmed at yunguba, prior to the show and projected during the night. she is a very convincing ukrainian poet
